Advanced DSP Integration: Routing, Phase, Crossovers, Dynamics, And Verification

Pre-productionEpisode 332-48 minutesAdvanced

An advanced Wondom-centered video package that exposes the difference between routing and audio transport, coherent summing and headroom, delay and phase, electrical and acoustic crossovers, dynamics detectors and output ceilings, FIR/IIR tradeoffs, and final measured implementation.

Audience: experienced tuners, DSP builders, system designers, and technical viewers ready to move beyond menu-driven tuning

Primary lesson: Signal Flow, Routing, Summing, And Dynamics

Video Status: Pre-production

The finished video is not published yet. This page exposes the companion lesson, chapter plan, required footage, technical-review gate, and remaining release blockers without presenting a fake player or placeholder watch link.

Chapter Plan

Required Shots

  • Wondom 2-input and 4-output hardware identification
  • SigmaStudio project showing named left, right, center, and rear or dynamics paths
  • linear matrix coefficients and measured coherent sum
  • hard parameter step compared with mute or slew transition
  • polarity, delay, phase, and group-delay traces on matched axes
  • individual driver and crossover-sum measurements
  • normal and reverse-polarity crossover comparison
  • all-pass filter before-and-after magnitude and phase
  • compressor detector and audible-path meters shown separately
  • limiter threshold compared with actual output and downstream limits
  • IIR and resource-qualified FIR transfer comparison
  • exported project, live readback, known-good reload, and regression evidence

Required Graphics

  • control bus versus audio bus versus sample-clock diagram
  • four-output Wondom reference project map
  • matrix coefficient and coherent-sum table
  • mute, safe-update, and slew state diagram
  • polarity versus delay versus phase versus group-delay card
  • electrical filter and acoustic crossover overlay
  • all-pass magnitude and phase illustration
  • detector path versus audible path diagram
  • limiter threshold versus physical-system limits diagram
  • FIR versus IIR architecture and latency map
  • DSP project and controller-version contract
  • known-good reload and regression flowchart

Safety Card

Characterize the Wondom and DSP project at protected line level first. Keep amplifiers muted until routes, filters, output levels, mutes, and transitions are proven, then increase acoustic level only under the applicable electrical, loudspeaker, structural, and hearing limits.
