9.2 Wiring Diagram Library

Tiny version

Pick the layout that matches your system, then copy that wiring pattern instead of inventing one from scratch.

Builder version

This library covers the common install forks: one amp, front-plus-sub, active three-amp, DVC subwoofer wiring, and multi-battery support.

Use it when

You already know the gear list and need a safe signal path, correct power split, and a clean “what connects to what” picture.

The standalone wiring pages below are the maintained versions. Use this section page as the chooser, then open the specific diagram that matches the install you are actually building.

Single Amplifier - Basic System

Best for one full-range amplifier running a simple four-speaker layout.

  • One power run and one ground point
  • Simple RCA path from source to amp
  • Good first build reference

Two-Amplifier System - Front + Subwoofer

Use this when the front stage and the sub stage each get their own amplifier.

  • Distribution block layout
  • Shared ground strategy
  • Cleaner tuning split between fronts and sub

Three-Amplifier Active System

For DSP-based systems where tweeters, mids, and subwoofer each get dedicated amplifier channels.

  • DSP-first signal flow
  • Remote-turn-on order matters
  • Higher complexity but tighter control

DVC Subwoofer Wiring Configurations

Use this to choose the final impedance before you hook the subwoofer to the amplifier.

  • Series vs parallel coil wiring
  • Single- and dual-sub layouts
  • Match the amp’s safe load first

Battery System Configurations

Use this when the system current draw is high enough that one battery no longer keeps voltage stable.

  • Parallel battery rules
  • Fuse and busbar discipline
  • Good for bigger competition-style systems

Common mistake

People often copy the speaker and signal wiring but ignore the power and grounding rules. The install looks right until noise, amplifier shutdown, or voltage sag shows up. Follow the whole diagram, not just the pretty part in the middle.
