Q Factor (Quality Factor)
Bandwidth parameter in parametric EQ. Low Q (0.5-2) = wide bandwidth. High Q (5-12) = narrow. Formula relates Q to bandwidth: Q = fcenter / Δf3dB. Also describes driver damping (Qts). → See also: Parametric EQ, Qts

Thiele-Small parameter describing driver damping. Low Qts (0.3-0.5) = heavily damped, needs ported loading. High Qts (0.7-1.0) = lightly damped, sealed only. Sweet spot: 0.5-0.7 (works either way). → See also: Thiele-Small, Enclosure
