Vas (Equivalent Compliance Volume)
Thiele-Small parameter. Volume of air with same compliance as driver suspension. Large Vas = soft suspension = large box needed. Small Vas = stiff suspension = smaller box OK. → See also: Thiele-Small

Wire coil attached to speaker cone former. Current through coil in magnetic field creates force, moving cone. Dual voice coil (DVC) = two coils on same former for wiring flexibility. → See also: DVC
